The Netherlands qualified for the 2023 World Cup after a convincing victory over Scotland in their final qualifying match. The Dutch won by 8 wickets, with captain Bas de Leede scoring a century.

The Netherlands started the match brightly, scoring 277 runs in their 50 overs. Scotland’s bowlers struggled to contain the Dutch batsmen, with Max O’Dowd scoring 79 and Scott Edwards scoring 68.
In reply, Scotland were never in the hunt, and were bowled out for 199 in 41.1 overs. Bas de Leede was the star of the show for the Netherlands, scoring 123 runs off 107 balls.
With this victory, the Netherlands finished top of Group B in the World Cup qualifiers, and will now compete in the 2023 World Cup in India. Scotland, meanwhile, will have to wait until the next qualifying tournament to try and book their place in the World Cup.
