Baba Siddique Murder: 5 Arrested for Supplying Weapons, Logistics

In the ongoing investigation of Baba Siddique’s murder, the Mumbai Police have arrested five individuals for allegedly providing firearms and logistical support to the shooters. This brings the total number of arrests in the case to nine.

Demanded Payment, Then Backed Out

According to reports, the arrested suspects initially demanded ₹50 lakh for the assassination but later backed out due to disagreements over payment and the influence of the Nationalist Congress Party leader. However, they still provided logistical and other support to those involved in carrying out the killing.

Five Arrested, Three Still at Large

The arrested individuals are identified as Nitin Gautam Sapre (32), Sambhaji Kisan Pardhi (44), Pradeep Dattu Thombre (37), Chetan Dilip Pardhi (27), and Ram Fulchand Kanoujia (43). Three key suspects, including the primary shooter, Shivkumar Gautam, and the mastermind, Mohammed Zeeshan Akhtar, remain at large.

Motivations and Connections

Investigators are examining the connection between Shubham Lonkar and Mohammed Zeeshan Akhtar, who are believed to have brought the plot to Sapre’s group through the Lawrence Bishnoi gang. The police are also investigating whether the accused were aware of the potential consequences of killing a high-profile politician like Baba Siddique.

Ongoing Investigation and Manhunt

The police have issued a look-out circular for the three remaining fugitives. The investigation is ongoing, with the aim of apprehending all those involved in the murder and bringing them to justice.
