Under the agreement, India will provide Sri Lanka with financial assistance to import fuel and help to improve the country’s energy infrastructure. India will also provide technical assistance to Sri Lanka in developing renewable energy sources.

The agreement is a significant development for Sri Lanka, which is currently facing a severe energy crisis. The country is struggling to import fuel due to a shortage of foreign exchange, and power outages have become a common occurrence. The agreement with India could help to ease Sri Lanka’s energy crisis and provide the country with a more reliable source of energy.

The agreement is also a sign of the close relationship between India and Sri Lanka. The two countries have a long history of cooperation, and they have been working together to address a number of challenges, including the current energy crisis.

The agreement is expected to be signed by the two countries in the coming weeks.
