Tom Hardy Wants Venom to Fight Spider-Man

Despite his “Venom” trilogy coming to an end with “Venom: The Last Dance,” Tom Hardy wants to see his symbiote character face off against Tom Holland’s Spider-Man.

While promoting “The Last Dance” at New York Comic Con, Hardy expressed his desire for a clash between the two characters. “I would love to fight Spider-Man. I would love to fight him now,” he said. “I’m happy to fight Spider-Man today, 100 percent.” He added that while the “Venom” trilogy concludes with “The Last Dance,” there’s always the possibility of exploring more symbiote-focused stories in the future.

Venom’s Future and the Introduction of Knull

The most recent “Venom” trailer teased the arrival of Knull, the evil creator of the symbiote. Director Kelly Marcel confirmed that this is just the beginning for Knull and that there are many possibilities for future stories.

Spider-Man Spinoffs: From Kraven to Beyond the Spider-Verse

Besides “Venom,” Sony’s Spider-Man Universe includes upcoming films like “Kraven the Hunter,” which stars Aaron Taylor-Johnson as the big game hunter. This film will be the first Spidey spinoff with an R rating. Meanwhile, the animated “Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse” remains undated.

In the Marvel Cinematic Universe, director Destin Daniel Cretton is set to helm a fourth Tom Holland-starring “Spider-Man” movie, although it hasn’t been officially announced yet.

Holland revealed that he and Zendaya recently read a script for “Spider-Man 4” and that they were excited about the direction the story is taking.
