In a heartbreaking turn of events, the vibrant life of Suhani Bhatnagar, known as the “Dangal Girl,” came to an abrupt end at the young age of 19. The news of her demise due to dermatomyositis, a rare disease, has left the nation in shock.
Suhani, who rose to fame with her role in the blockbuster movie “Dangal,” faced the cruel reality of dermatomyositis just two months before her untimely death. Despite seeking medical attention at several prominent hospitals in Faridabad, the disease eluded diagnosis until it was too late.
Her parents, Punit and Pooja Bhatnagar, shared the agonizing journey of their daughter’s illness. It began with red patches on Suhani’s hands, which they initially thought was an allergy. Little did they know, it was the onset of a relentless battle against dermatomyositis.
As the disease progressed, Suhani’s body filled with water, causing damage to her lungs and eventually leading to her demise. Her parents, devastated by the loss, expressed both sorrow and pride in their daughter’s short but impactful life. Despite the challenges, Suhani’s parents fought relentlessly for her, seeking medical assistance and eventually admitting her to Delhi’s AIIMS. However, the disease had taken its toll, and Suhani bid farewell to the world, leaving her family and fans in mourning.
