KVS Admission 2024-2025:
There has been a significant change in the admission rules for Kendriya Vidyalayas, which is crucial information for parents interested in enrolling their children. The number of seats for admission in each class of Kendriya Vidyalayas has been reduced to eight seats per class. An official notification has been issued on the official website regarding this change. According to the notification, applications are invited for only 32 seats. Previously, there used to be 40-40 seats available for admission in each class from primary to higher secondary.
No Benefit of State Transfer:
Additionally, there has been a change in the transfer policy for children. Children of parents working in the private sector will not be eligible for transfer to schools outside the state. In simple terms, children of private sector employees will not be able to avail the facility of state transfer. It’s worth mentioning that Kendriya Vidyalayas receive a large number of admission applications every year.
Application Deadlines:
The admission process is currently underway for Class 1 and other classes in Kendriya Vidyalayas. The last date to apply for Class 1 admission is April 15, 2024. For all other classes, the application deadline is April 10, 2024. The first list of selected students for Class 1 will be released on April 19, followed by subsequent lists on April 29 and May 8. The list for all other classes will be released on April 15.
Required Documents for Admission:
Original birth certificate, SC/ST/OBC certificate (if applicable), residence proof, child’s Aadhar card, parents’ Aadhar card, passport-sized photos of the child (2).
