A magnitude 6.4 earthquake struck northwestern Nepal on November 3, 2023, killing at least 128 people and injuring hundreds more. The earthquake struck the Lamidanda area of Jajarkot district, about 150 kilometers northwest of Kathmandu.

Tremors were felt in Delhi, Noida, Ghaziabad, Gurugram, Faridabad, and other parts of the National Capital Region (NCR). Tremors were also felt in Chandigarh, Jaipur, and other parts of North India.

People in Delhi and North India reported feeling tremors for several seconds. Some people said that they felt their buildings shaking and that furniture was moving. However, there have been no reports of any serious damage or injuries.

The NCS said that the earthquake was caused by the collision of the Indian Plate and the Eurasian Plate. Nepal is located in a seismically active zone, and earthquakes are common in the country.
