The highly anticipated film Devara: Part 1, starring Jr. NTR, Janhvi Kapoor, and Saif Ali Khan, has taken the global box office by storm, earning a remarkable $32.93 million in its opening weekend. Directed by Koratala Siva, the film has received widespread acclaim for its gripping storyline and stellar performances.

Devara: Part 1 has secured the second spot among the highest-grossing films worldwide, trailing closely behind The Wild Robot, which garnered $44 million over the same weekend. This impressive feat surpasses Hollywood releases like Beetlejuice Beetlejuice and Transformers One, which earned $29 million and $25 million, respectively.

In North America, Devara: Part 1 has made a significant impact, earning $5.12 million in its opening weekend and securing a spot among the top five highest-grossing films. Fans of Jr. NTR have expressed their excitement and pride on social media, celebrating the film’s success.

In India, Devara: Part 1 has garnered an outstanding response, earning a remarkable ₹145 crore worldwide on its opening day. Of this, approximately ₹98 crores were grossed in India, while ₹47 crores came from international markets. This impressive start made it the sixth biggest opening for an Indian film globally.

In the Telugu-speaking states of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, Devara: Part 1 had the second-highest opening after RRR, which also starred Jr. NTR. It surpassed other major Telugu releases, including Salaar: Part 1 – Ceasefire and Kalki 2898 AD, in terms of opening-day collections.

Devara: Part 1 has secured its place as the second-biggest Indian opener of 2024, only behind Kalki 2898 AD. For Jr. NTR, this marks his first solo film to achieve a ₹100 crore opening, surpassing his previous solo hit, Aravinda Sametha. While Devara falls short of his career’s biggest box-office achievement—RRR—it solidifies Jr. NTR’s status as one of the top actors in the Telugu film industry.

In just three days, Devara: Part 1 amassed a gross collection of ₹161 crore (net) in India alone.
